1. Aditya Hridayam of Srimad Ramayana is a popularly recited sloka for health. Self-Confidence and success in all righteous endeavours.

2. Aruni Upanisad says that one should recite the Aranyaka and Upanisad portions of the Vedas to attain salvation; Krishna Yajurveda’s Tattriya Sakha has ten chapters (Prapataka) in its Aranyaka Portion. The first chapter is Arunam or Suryanamaskaram. The 7th 8th and 9th chapters form Taithiriya Upanisad and the tenth, Mahanarayana Upanisad. All these recited by Srivatsa Ramaswami have been released. This contains the recitation of the second chapter known variously as Svadhyaya Brahanama, Kushmanda Mantras or Sruthi Prayaschitha Mantras.

3. It consists of twenty Anuvakas or Paragraphs on the following:-

1. Yognopavita Vidhi
2. Sandhyopasana Vidhi (Including greatness of Gayatri)
3. Kushmanda Homa Mantra, Brahmana
4. Brahmayagna
5. Sruthi Prayaschitham
6. Avakirna Prayaschitham
7. Brahmopasthanam
8.Digupasthanam

This is performed as a Homa when it is called Keshmandras Home and is done before any auspicious function like wedding or Upanayana However, even the recitation (Adhyayana) is said to be a means of eradication ill effects like diseases, Poverty, indebtedness misery etc. and provides the Adhyayi with prosperity.

In fact, it is to be recited daily or when one feels that he has become inpure by wrong activities of mind body or speech.
