About the Author

DR K C JENA, born in 1934 at Berhampur had a distinguished student career. He had his M.A. (Economics), M A (History) and M A (Pol Sc) from the Utkal University. He was awarded his first PhD in Economics in 1965 from Utkal University and got his second PhD in History from the Berhampur University. He has written a number of research papers to different Research Journals of the country. A regular participant of the Indian History Congress, Indian Institute of American Studies, Indian Institute of Gandhian Studies, Institute of Historical Studies and other learned bodies. He has taken up a wide range of interest. He has written on Historical, Economic, Political, Philosophic and Literary topics. His published works include, Land Revenue Administration in Orissa during the 19th. Century, Contributions of M N Roy to Political Philosophy, Socio-economic Conditions of Orissa, Reflections on Mahatma Gandhi, History of the World and quite a few other books written in Oriya. Dr. Jena had joined as a teacher in the Khallikote College, Berhampur and then was at Vikramdev College, Jaipur; Utkal University, S K C G College, Paralakemidi and now serves in the Department of History, Berhampur University, Orissa.
