The aim of Alankaras is to produce enjoyment in the heart of connoisseurs. It is also meant to define the form of it.According to them, the entire utility of sahitya is the enjoyment in the heart of connoisseurs. The other utilities of sahitya like give advice etc. are established through sastras. But in sastra, there is no pleasure. At the same time, from kavya we get pleasure. The utility of sahitya is the erudition through pleasure.
