• The Stupid Tiger and Other Stories
A group of twenty Bengali tales written by Upendrakishore, the grandfather of Satyajit Ray.

• Myths & Legends of India
Combining scholarly rigour with masterly narration, Myths and Legends of India is a brilliant collection. Stories such as The Churning of the Ocean, Draupadi’s Svayamvara and The Seduction of Ahalya flow along with The Blind Fakir, St Thomas Arm and the Buddha and the Tigress. All in all, the book is a kaleidoscope of living India, with the vast eras or yugas, the stages of life, tapas, rebirth and nirvana that are her common heritage, together with a joyous celebration of eroticism.

• Selected Poems: Rabindranath Tagore
Perhaps no other writer in the world is as deeply and widely loved by his own people as is Rabindranath Tagore. William Radices selections and translations from the Bengali reintroduce Tagore to a new generation of Western readers.

• Swami Vivekananda and the Modernisation of Hinduism
This volume of fourteen essays gives new depth to our understanding of the aims and achievements of Swami Vivekananda. (The excellent articles provide an understanding of the socio-cultural context for reformers of that era.- - Book Review)

• Particles, Jottings, Sparks - The Collected Brief Poems of Rabindranath Tagore
Pointed, witty, lucid and profound, Rabindranath Tagore's brief poems have not till now been given the prominence they deserve. Inspired by Martin Kampchen's German translations of some of the poems, William Radice's lyrical new translations aim to give a complete impression in English of the poet's achievement in this genre.

• Rabindranath Tagore : Selected Short Stories
This edition, which has been extensively revised, includes a full introduction, selected letters and a glossary, and forms a companion volume to Tagore's Selected Poems, also edited and translated by William Radice

• A Hundred Letters from England
Covering a wide range of topics – cinema, theatre, music, education, politics, current affairs and others – these quintessentially personal pieces make this collection what it is: witty, humane and affecting. For four years from June 1998, William Radice has written a fortnightly Letter from England for the Statesman in India. These one hundred Letters from England now appear in a book form.

• Poetry and Community - Lectures and Essays 1991-2001
There have been many sides to William Radice's life and career - poetry, Bengali, Tagore, Germany, opera and more - and it has not been easy for his readers to keep up with them all. This book, for the first time, offers an overview, by combining lectures he has given on visits to the subcontinent with a variety of articles and autobiographical pieces. Breaking down barriers between the literary and the academic, the analytic and the poetic, and East and West, this book is written throughout in Radice's characteristically personal, relaxed yet lucid style.

• Teach Yourself Bengali - A complete course for Beginners
A complete course for beginners in speaking, reading and writing standard Bengali. Its clear and logical approach make it the ideal way to learn Bengali, whether you are a complete beginner or have learnt some Bengali before.
