About the Author

Mobarak Hosain Khan is a renowned musician, researcher and musicologist of Bangladesh. Son of Ustad Ayet Ali Khan, one of the greatest musicians of the subcontinent, he is also nephew of the music maestro Ustad Alauddin Khan. He is a pioneer in generating the interest of the masses in classical music.

He unique contribution has been in integrating music with literature. He has contributed significantly both as a prominent litterateur and translator. He won distinctions, earned prestigious awards and has been honored with 'Ekushe Padak' and 'Swadhinata Dibash Purashkar', the two highest civil awards of Bangladesh.

In this biography, Mobarak Hossain Khan unravels the life and achievements of Ustad Alauddin Khan.
