Based on the extensive military literature in Sanskrit, this book is an interesting account of the various aspects of the dynamics of war and the place of army in Hindu political thought in ancient India.

In India, kingdoms rose and fell in never- ending succession. Dig-Vijay ( Conquest of regions) was held up as a righteous ideal. The writer in this work has brought out the military ideas, methods of fortification , equipment's and arms used by ancient Indian Warriors.
